Musty clothes

Why is my clothes musty after laundry? I noticed that some time the laundry is fine after wash but sometimes it is giving bad smell. I end up having to redo the laundry all over again, and i always need to put extra softener and detergent just to keep up with the smell. What happpen?

dont worry thats just means your washing machine needs a clean, it tends to hold to stagnant water, harbouring bacteria and mold
