How long your friend suffer from joint pain? I think is due to Osteoarthritis. As we grow older, it is normal to face this problem, the cartilage getting thinner and cause the pain. You can read more about this at en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Osteoarthritis . Try to advice your friend to seek Orthopedist, they are expert and could help your friend's problem asap.

normally elder age folks are more at risk of getting Osteoarthritis. However nowadays younger people also can be affected.
I have sharp pain on my knees from years..i like jogging but i never thought extensive exercise can injured my knees..
it getting more and more painful and untill now i cannot do extensive exercise anymore. even walk i also can feel the pain..
I went to traditional Chinese massage but still cant get rid the pain.

actually Osteoarthritis can be prevented one if you are having a good lifestyle or healthy living habit. for example you can go to do some exercises often to reduce some fats and weight. besides, do not smoke or drink too much of alcohol.
im trying to have a healthy lifestyle now cause i dont wish to suffer from any pain in future :)

try to reduce extreme exercise with your friend, but go for the slow and mild exercise like taichi, yoga.
this can help to reduce the pain too.

my sis knees also always feel pain. then she went for steroid injection every 3 months.

but my friend told me that steroid will bring some side effects. is it? do you think she should stop the injection and take Livewell supplement instead?

The best is to seek the advice from specialist, as far as I know, operation or injection for Orthorities can only stop pain temporary, whereas supplement can help reduce pain for long period.

i suggest that u shud ask ur sister to stop taking steroid.if ur sis insist wan to take it ,i think the injection need to done by a doctor..

steroid can cause ur skin discoloration, lead to cartilage damage and even cancer,it is very harmful to ur body if u take it for a period of time..

for a better information u can check this out www.steroidabuse.com/dangers-of-steroid-abuse.html

There is always pros and cons for injection, you can refer to this link www.everydayhealth.com/osteoarthritis/the-pros-and-cons-of-cortisone-for-osteoarthritis.aspx , pros is the osteoarthritis pain relief is almost instant, but the cons is , it will be just temporary only.
